I’m a Psychologist and Therapist with an ADHD Brain
I help others with ADHD have more compassion for themselves while berating myself
because I can’t find my glasses… again…

“If you’re always trying to be normal, you’ll never know how amazing you could be.” – Maya Angelou

Trouble with organising? Constantly losing stuff? Problems regulating your emotions? Procrastinating? Not sure how to organise your time? Or maybe just not feeling good-enough?
If you have ADHD, you’re probably finding life rather overwhelming. My job is to listen, understand, reflect things back to you, and help identify what the specific problems are, so we can work on your strengths and find solutions together.
While having an ADHD brain can cause enormous distress, there are always upsides. We just need to find yours. For example, my ability to hyper-focus helps me identify complex emotions, thoughts and behaviours, spot subtle patterns you, or others, may not have noticed, and come up with an individual plan for you.
What ADHD also gives me, apart from losing things, an aversion to forms, and a suspicious relationship with autocorrect, is empathy. Proper empathy. Not the kind that just nods and politely agrees, but the kind that understands what it’s like to feel not-quite-good-enough. The kind of empathy that says: “You absolutely don’t need to be perfect, because perfection is over-rated,” and really mean it.
